Dear Friends,

It is my honor to meet you. Although I know or may not know you, I know one thing. It is not by accident that you come across our company’s website, I’m sure that you come because you must love dolls as much as I do, and you are approaching our company with some great doll or miniature toy designs in mind.

I have been and still am fascinated about dolls, I love every aspect of it. Be it talking about new designs, or sewing the little mittens to fit the doll’s little hand, or more recently, discovering Instagram as a 70 years old user and learning to use the wonders of modern technology to discuss dolls with the thousands of doll lovers out there. This fascination had never subsided for me since I was a little girl when I longed for my first doll but my family did not have the money to buy me one.

In fact, over the 55 years of my career, I have actively pursued a career in the miniature size toy business or otherwise commonly referred to as the doll business. In the beginning, I started as a factory worker, knotting, and styling wigs. Gradually, I saved enough money to start a doll factory with my husband Paul which steadily progressed my journey to design, develop, and manufacture my own dolls today. Over the years, I was fortunate enough to have worked with the most talented doll designers/doll developers in the world, including but not limited to Mr. Jason Wu, original founder of American Girl Ms. Pleasant Roland,  Ms. Gale Jarvis, Ms. Helen Kish, Ms Dianna Effner, Ms. Maggie Iocono, Ms.Hildegard Gunzel, Mr. Franz Goetz, Madame Catherine Refabert, etc. Every one of them had helped me grow in my professional career, for which I am truly blessed and thankful. Finally, at the tender age of 60 years old, my career culminated by launching my own doll brand name RubyRedGalleria in 2008.

Throughout my years of working as a no-nonsense doll producer and doll designer, I understand the many difficulties and frustrations of an average doll developer in finding and/or maintaining a reliable and dependable manufacturing partner, or rather a leading manufacturing partner; with their usual sub-vendors in tow; as so common in practice today. The problem with doing this, is, nowadays, this strings of sub vendors do not stay stable nor are they constant, but ever changing. When the time for the eventual production time comes, usually during toy production peak crunch periods, the original doll developer is often forced to work with other unfamiliar, unapproved or untested inferior sub-component vendors, with or without the original doll developer prior knowledge nor approval, in the hope to assure eventual on-time deliveries and useable/sellable end sub-component products at the end. In reality, such gamble do not pay off. At best, such venture, would mean a  mismatches of finished product quality standards; or color mismatch. On the other end, such gamble could lead to outright disastrous or totally useless end finished products; or other disastrous bad experiences.

For the concept of one stop shop, I believe that this concept is absolutely necessary for producing any consistent high quality minded products - be it doll size products or others. Many past doll developers I know had struggled or suffered by working with other manufacturers where they had consistently outsourced various main or sub components to other sub vendors; with or without original doll developer client's prior knowledge nor prior approvals. Such actions had typically lead to disastrous or totally useless end finished products.  I believe that by having the whole doll and/or at least most of it’s critical components produced in one location I can better plan, manage, coordinate, control, align and streamline the many intricacies that is required in a high quality minded miniature products or finished dolls.

Finally, I believe that modern management is necessary as well. Over the years, our company has employed many capable managers, invested in new computer systems, and adhere to strict ISO 9001-2015 standards to help ensure that my colleagues stay on top of things in our high-quality minded miniature toys and doll production.

But enough about me. I am truly honored for you to visit us on our website, and I do looking forward to talk to you personally and learn about your history, dreams and most importantly, your design and concept for your new doll or your new miniature toys project. Please drop us a message or e-mail, I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely Yours,

Ruby Ho
